Ruston

The picture above is our campsite.  We’re staying at Lincoln Parish Park.    Below you can see Buddy checking things out.

A few pictures of the campground I took while walking around.

We had four visitors show up looking for food.

They are obviously seasoned beggars.  I gave them some bread.

Saturday morning we went to downtown Ruston.  First stop was The Farmer’s Market.  We got corn, tomatoes, chanterelle mushrooms and peaches.

This weekend is the Ruston Peach Festival. First up was the carshow..

Then we watched the parade.

After the parade we had lunch at Brister’s Smokehouse.   I had the smoked baked potato and J had the brisket sandwich.

Next we visited a peach farm and bought more peaches.

Our final stop was a produce stand.   We got cantaloupe, peppers and fresh purple hull peas.  We’ve never tried them so hopefully they’re good.

A few more pictures of the campground.

We head to Waco, Texas on the Fourth of July for our next trip.
