They took us to an ice cream joint.
And a few pictures of the city.
Clint’s store (from Fixer Upper).
A few of the houses renovated on Fixer Upper.
After the tour we stopped at this place for burgers. J bought a shirt and their brand of hot sauce.
After lunch we went to the Dr Pepper museum. It was disappointing. There wasn’t much to it.
Our next stop was the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. They had a lot of stuff and is good for people who know nothing about Texas sport figures.
We left the museum and took a drive to see the Branch Davidian compound. We chose not to drive in even though the sign on the gate said if they were open you could go through. It was very desolate and there were a few cars by the church but we didn’t want to intrude.
And finally we ate dinner at Torchy’s Tacos.
J had a green chili pork taco and a brisket taco. I had a chicken taco and retried beans. We would go back there again.
We also went to a sopping center called Spice. They had a lot of stuff but spices weren’t anywhere to be found.
The lines for the silos were out of control so that is on our agenda for tomorrow. The bakery opens at 730 so we will be there bright and early to hopefully beat the crowds.
