Soup

I figured I would make something for dinner today since K2 said I never cook anymore. She must be getting tired of hot pockets. I told her I needed to get back into the grove of working again. So when we went to the grocery store yesterday, I picked up one of the little Pillsbury cookbooks and decided to make the German Sausage and Cabbage Soup recipe. The soup turned out well, but it was a little bland and required some additional spice.

The furniture people came and replaced the damaged pieces so all is good there. I had also ordered a pub table in a natural finish (from Amazon) and it arrived yesterday as well. I was pretty disgusted with it; the ad says "simple assembly required". It would be more truthful to say all assembly required. Needless to say, I started putting the dumb thing together, got one chair done and decided no one could sit on it, because I don't know what I'm doing. So, I put it in the spare bedroom and told J when he comes, that is his first project to complete. It should be in October that he comes back because K1 should be here before he heads to his first post.
