Berry Picking

This morning we decided to go berry picking.  There is a U-Pick it place about 20 minutes from our house.   We headed out bright and early; we were trying to beat the heat.  I guess other people had the same idea. 

We stayed for about an hour and a half were drenched with sweat by the time we left.  J picked blueberries and I picked blackberries.  I thought the prices were good, $1.70 lb if you pick your own.

I guess everyone was checking out at the same time as us.  It took us about 15 minutes to get through the line. 

We flash froze the majority of them, and then put the berries in food saver bags for a later date.
