Vegas Day 4

We decided to hit the road again since we had a car.  First things first though.  The Nevada Governor put new Coronavirus mandates in place that restrict restaurants to 25% capacity and require a reservation ( apparently that is even a rule for fast food joints).  So I scrambled to make reservations for the next two days.

First up was Hash House A Go Go in Henderson.  J had chicken and waffles Nashville style and I had biscuits and gravy.  They were both good.

You can see how empty it was. I don’t know how the restaurant industry will survive this. I guess Nevada has a 13% unemployment rate and they “fired” 18,000 casino workers.  At one of the places we visited yesterday, there was a sign on the door talking about Gov “Sissy-Sacks” rules.  His name is Sisolak.  I guess not everyone is a fan of his.

After breakfast we went to the Clark Count Museum.  It cost $2 a person to get in, but if you were over 54, it was only a $1.  I lied and said J wasn’t 54 yet 🤐  on the way out, we saw the museum guy Mark going into the building. We missed him by a minute or two

I think the museum would be great for school kids but we were done in about 15 minutes.

Our next stop was WelderUp. I have not seen this show but apparently J has.  When we left we saw the owner from the show in the garage parking lot. He waved and the turned around to talk on the phone so no pictures of him

We headed back to the hotel to drop off the car. I had 2 free tickets to Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden.

And dolphins.

For dinner, we went to Cut by Wolfgang Puck. We’ve been to Lupo before and liked it so had high hopes.

Butternut Squash soup

Waygu beef sliders

Maple glazed pork belly

Bone marrow

French fries

And desert. Chocolate soufflé and a riff on banana cream pie

They actually said we should take pictures of the “pie”. It was neat.  That’s a wrap of day 4.
