Vegas Last Day

Nevada changed their virus restrictions while we were there and made it mandatory to have a reservation to dine in anywhere.  Because we didn’t have a lot of time to research, we went back to Mon Ami Gabi.  This time J had the corned beef hash and I had the eggs, bacon and hash browns.

We drove 30 minutes outside Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon.  It costs $2 per car if you have an America the Beautiful pass (which we do; it is or was free for disabled Veterans). I only took 2 pictures.

We took a food tour that night. We were the only guests and it was very awkward. This is the second time that’s had happened and if I had known beforehand it would just be J and I, I would have cancelled.  I guess the new restrictions also limit these types of tours to a max of 4 people.

Our first stop was Flights in The Miracle Mile Shoppes .

Chicken Satay Skewers and Swedish Meatballs with Ligonberry Jam

Truffle Enchiladas and Caprese Salad.  We would go back to this place.

Our next stop was a juice bar in the Cosmopolitan. I didn’t get any pictures of what we had but J liked them both and we now have a new juicer at home.  We had one years ago but got rid of it since we never used it.  It’s to be seen if he will use the new one.

Our next place was in the shops in front of Bally’s.

J ate my hot dog because it was slathered in mustard.

Elote (street corn). It was just okay.

Fried chicken with chipotle honey and wasabi honey. The chipotle honey was good. J ate both drumsticks as I’m not a fan of dark meat.

Next up was Off the Strip in the Linq Promenade.

Asparagus and cheese wrapped steak. This was okay.

Finally desert.  Chocolate gelato and whipped cream. The best thing of the night  this was not the best food tour we’ve been in and I won’t name the company but I would never recommend it. The tour guide was nice but not outgoing or very talkative. She basically watched us eat and that made for an awkward experience.

A few nighttime pictures of the strip.

Flamingos at the Flsmingo

And that was our trip. I’m not sure where we will go next. Hopefully things start to calm down and we can do some camping next year.
