Taco Rice

One of the first things I bought for J's bachelor pad was a rice cooker. Both he and K2 like Japanese sticky rice and I find that a rice cooker is the only way to cook it right. At any rate, today I did a trial run with the new cooker to make sure it worked alright. So, I made Taco Rice for dinner. This is a popular thing in Okinawa. Whenever you go to an Okinawan restaurant, taco rice is something to order if everything else looks suspect. All you do is take rice and put taco fillings on top of it. Since we've been in New Mexico, we've become addicted to "Steve's Red Chili Sauce". It's the container with the red stuff in it.

Tomorrow the movers bring our shipment of household goods from Japan. It should be an all day long project going through all of the boxes to determine what stays and what goes. This house is going to look like we belong on an episode of Hoarders. I have Friday to go through things as well. We plan to load up the trailer and drive back to LA on Saturday. It's going to be another long drive
