Oklahoma City

We both took today off work so we’d have a long weekend.   This time we headed to Oklahoma City.

We’re staying at the local KOA and as they usually do, they pack you in.

It wasn’t full when we arrived but it definitely is now.  The guy told J that all there spots were booked.

After getting hooked up, we went out for dinner.   Our stop was Cattlemen’s Steakhouse which has been featured in Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and Man vs Food.  It was very disappointing.  Even J who eats anything said it wasn’t good.

If you search the internet you’ll see that Guy had the peppercorn steak.  I ordered the same thing and what I got did not resemble his in the least.

We should have asked for the dressing on the side.

Peppercorn steak.  You can see the gravy clearly broke.

The area it’s located in is where they sell cattle so we walked around a bit.

A view of the city from the drive back to the campground.

We also stopped st Tinker Air Force Base to check it out.    Tomorrow will be museums, the memorial and whatever else we find that looks interesting.
